A totally new Calendar Kitten for 2022 is one of the last Playboy Playmates before the magazine closed its doors, Monica Sims, a working fashion model with The Brand Agency in the Los Angeles area. The 27-year-old model grew up in
Orange County California and was featured in Playboy’s September 2015 issue as Playmate of the month. She started modeling at age 15 at her mom'ssuggestion. She was shooting with our friend Josh Ryan at the time and he suggested she test with him for Playboy, and the rest is history.

Monica Sims is a bundle of contradictions. A bedroom-eyed blonde from Orange County, Monica thanks mixed European and Bolivian heritage for her sexy, one-of-a kind look. Both innocent and not, Miss Sims is the kind of girl that some guys trip over themselves to impress—her eyes may say Come hither, but she always speaks her mind, and she’s just as likely to tell you to get lost.

“I’m a Gemini, so you never know what to expect from me,” says Monica, brushing back a lock of hair. “I’ve always done what I wanted. Growing up in Orange County, I’d ditch school and go to the beach. I didn’t like school—all the classes were like rocket science to me. Except maybe for art.”

Using her creativity to her advantage, Monica posted an Instagram of herself holding a Playboy issue, shouting out to photographer Josh Ryan in the caption. “You know, I should be on the Cover!”

Josh commented on it, like ‘Hey, that’s my picture!’ He asked if I wanted to test, and a few weeks later, I was approved!”

“When I go tanning, it’s more of a meditative thing,” says Monica. “The second I hit the sand, I close my eyes and just relax. It’s total bliss.
