Hot Bike Magazine to ReLaunch with New Staff
IRVINE, Calif. (May 11, 2012) – Source Interlink Media (SIM) announced today the promotion of Jeff G. Holt to Editorial Director of the company’s American Motorcycle Group. The group consists of the iconic Hot Bike, the trendy Baggers and the one and only Street Chopper, as well as several special interest publications.
Holt, previously Editor-in-Chief of Street Chopper and Baggers, will direct all editorial planning for the group, as well as pilot the re-launch of Hot Bike slated for early 2013. Related changes will move both Hot Bike editors Eric Ellis and Jordan Mastagni to Baggers. New hire John Zamora will be appointed Editor of Hot Bike. Each staff member is an avid motorcyclist with excellent mechanical abilities, and each of them fulfills writing and photography duties.
“This restructuring was designed to provide leadership and team building for the America Motorcycle Group,” said Jim Adolph, Group Publisher for all of SIM’s motorcycle titles. “We think this will provide a fantastic environment for our staff to meet the challenges of today’s market.”

As always the Show marks the world premier of next year's new 2013 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars featuring the world's top roadrace and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens also featured in the Calendars in attendance at the Show.
Join us for a beautiful new location in the tree shaded grass hills of the Santa a Mountains, a New Show Day, and Low Admission with Free parking. The 2012 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show moves from the Queen Mary, Long Beach to the exclusive
Calabasas Country Club and Golf Course, located between the Sagebrush Cantina and the Rock Store at the Parkway Calabasas exit off Hwy 101, the west end of the San Fernando Valley.
The Calendar Show is broadening its focus to include the growing Collector Bike Market with Exhibitors and Bike Show classes for classic European, British and Japanese motorcycles, along with American V-Twins and Customs. Show Entries will be placed in a Concours d' Elegance display throughout the venue on grass and patio walkways under shade trees at the Calabasas Country Club overlooking the golf course.
Calendar Show World Premier - The New / Old Crocker Motorcycle!|
Among the Calendar Show's World Premiers this year will be the first showing of the newly reborn Crocker Motorcycle (shown above),
produced by Michael Schacht of Crocker Motorcycle Company, this new production bike, built to the original designs, is now availble for sale.
It's a true replica of the original 1936 high performance Crocker V-twin machines of which only 200 were built.
America's top custom bike builders will be attendace with their latest custom bikes making their world premier at the Show. Builders expected to attend include Shinya Kimura / Chabott Engineering, Jim Guiffra & Spokesmodels / AFT Customs, Todd Silicato / Todd's Customs, Russell Mitchell / Exile Cycles, Richard Pollock / Mule Motorcycles, Chris Redpath / MotoGPwerks.

FastDates.com Calendar featured builder Shinya Kimura, former Best of Show and Class winner at past LA Calendar Motorccyle Shows, attended the Quail Motorcycle gathing this year with his latest build, a 750cc MV Agusta cafe racer, and took home 2 awards!
Shinya will be also be in attandance at the 2012 LA Calendar Show July 22nd with this MV Agusta and another World Premier cusom build.

Carmel, California, May 3-6 2012 - I hadn't ridden a motorcycle up the beautiful California coast from Los Angeles in a few years, and the occasion of the 2012 Quail Motorcycle gathering in Carmel, California, offered the perfect opportunity to make amends. I also wanted to ride up to the Quail event to do some marketing for our upcoming LA Calendar Motorcycle Show, hang out with my friends Jim Giuffra and Shelby Thompson from AFT Customs who are regular participants and bike building winners at the Calendar Show, and to see what other opportunities might pop up.
