ELENA MYERS MAKES HER SUPERBIKE DEBUT

Elena Myers says MotoAmerica's Superbike class "will be a really steep learning curve, but I'm ready to take on that challenge."
Elena Myers is well and truly living her dream. The two-time AMA Pro SuperSport race winner is maked her Superbike debut at Circuit of The Americas with 6th and 7th Place dinishes on a McGraw Powersports-backed Suzuki GSX-R1000 built by well-known tuner Carry Andrew.
Yes, you read that correctly: Superbike.
One of three women racing in the new MotoAmerica series and far and away the youngest team owner, the 21-year-old Myers has been looking forward to this day for a long time.
“It’s the premier class and where everyone in this country wants to be,” she said. “Now that I’m running my own team, I feel the time is right. My sponsors love it, and I can’t argue with that. Making the step up to the big bike is very exciting.”
Myers has ridden powerful motorcycles before, the highlight being a factory Suzuki MotoGP bike in 2011 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Just 17 at the time, she completed five laps of the 2.5-mile road course and clocked 190 mph on the long front straight. Since she turned pro in 2010, Myers has been racing middleweight machinery, including Kawasakis, Suzukis, and, most recently, Triumphs.
“When I was racing Supermoto growing up,” Myers said, “I always preferred 450s over 250s. I feel like it’s going to be the same way moving up to the big bike this year.”
Building Team21Motosport from scratch this past off-season had its twists and turns, Myers said, but choosing the GSX-R1000 was an easy decision. “The Suzuki is a proven bike, and there are so many parts available for it. With Suzuki introducing a new bike next year, I felt it was a good time to get back in with that company and start building a strong, long-term relationship.”
Myers has grown since she began racing at age eight, but she knows her height—5-foot-3, a foot shorter than fellow Superbike rookie Jake Lewis—remains a disadvantage. “I’m not as strong as a lot of guys, so I just have to work harder,” she said. “I’m very methodical in the way I ride, and that’s definitely an advantage. Being strong and confident applies to everyone.

Double Dutch Delight! Rea Wins His 2nd Double for Kawasaki this Season at Assen,
Davis Runner Upon for Ducati, as van der Mark Gets Maiden WorldSBK podium
Assen, The Netherlands, April 17-19th 2015 - Jonathan Rea, Kawasaki Racing Team, made it six wins from eight starts in the FIM Superbike Championship since he joined Kawasaki, taking the chequered flag each time after two exciting and often tense racing at Assen in the Netherlands. Superpole winner Tom Sykes (KRT) was in the front group in each race but dropped back to finish fifth each time.
With cool temperatures on the track in each race Sykes and Rea ran with the front group in each 21-lap race. Rea was the start-to-finish leader in race one and Sykes was ahead of the pack for 12 laps of race two, until Rea moved forward to lead and then take his second win. Rea had to turn up the pace in the final laps of each race to keep ahead of eventual second place rider Chaz Davies, setting a new lap record of 1’35.889 on lap 20 of the first race to make sure of his opening win.
Sykes had issues in keeping his strong early pace as the races unfolded, but his push right at the front in race two was impressive, keeping him clear of the battles going on behind for much of the race. He had to slow as the races wore on, but he is still fourth in the championship standings leaving the fourth round.
Both Assan WSB races provided thrills aplenty for the large Dutch crowd and the second race in particular was a classic of its type. There were multiple overtakes, dramatic passing manoeuvres and high speed battles through the sculpted curves of Assen’s final two sectors.
Race One to Rea over Davies and Van der Mark
The opening Dutch WorldSBK race at the TT circuit was won in emphatic style by Jonathan Rea, who set a new lap record in 1’35.889s on the penultimate lap to record his sixth win at Assen, the fifth of his 2015 championship campaign. After a 21-lap fight involving for a number of laps up to six riders, Rea eased away from eventual second place finisher Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Superbike Team) with two laps to go to secure another win for the Kawasaki Racing Team, the twentieth of his career. On the other hand the Welsh rider gave Ducati its 500th WorldSBK podium.
Young rider Van de Mark (50) continued to be the top Pata Honda rider as reigning World Champ and team mate Sylvain Guintolistguggle to get in the top 10.
Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Superbike Team) became the first Dutchman in the history of WorldSBK to stand on the podium - as well as the first non British rider to do so this year - in third after displacing Leon Haslam (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils) with an impressive move through the fast left hander of Ramshoek on the penultimate lap, which had the packed grandstands on their feet. Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) ran strongly in the opening laps before fading to fifth. The former champion looked to suffer pace-wise in the latter stages.
Jordi Torres (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils) recovered from an average start to overhaul compatriot Xavi Fores (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team) for sixth in the final five laps leaving Fores to claim seventh at the flag after he had been as high as fifth in the early stages.
Reigning champion Sylvain Guintoli (Pata Honda World Superbike Team) had a lonely ride to eighth, coming home five seconds ahead of Nico Terol (Althea Racing) and Leon Camier (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) who crossed the line almost side by side to finish ninth and tenth respectively.
The Voltcom Crescent Suzuki pairing of Alex Lowes and Randy de Puniet went down together at Turn 1 on lap eight, the Frenchman crashing alone and collecting his team mate who appeared to have run straight on. Both riders were unhurt.

Despite the cool weather, Assen had a good crowd around 35,000 race fans.
Race Two Double Win for Rea as van der Mark bags another podium
The second WorldSBK race of the day at the iconic TT circuit of Assen in the Netherlands served up another nail-biting climax that once again had the crowd on their feet as the leading riders stayed locked together until the final lap. As he had in race one, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) took the win ahead of Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Superbike Team).
Rea’s victory in race two is the second double that he has achieved at Assen making him the second most successful rider in the history of the Dutch Round (behind Carl Fogarty). It also gave him a career best run of nine consecutive podium finishes. Rea has now a significant 50-point lead in the standings.
By half race distance in Race Two, Sykes had dropped off from the battle at the front as Rea (65) again holds off Davies (7 , Haslam (91) and van der Mark (50).
Another brave move at the penultimate turn saw local rider Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Superbike) grab a double podium with another third place after nudging aside Leon Haslam (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils), the Briton claiming 13 points with a fourth-place finish.
Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) again led in the early laps before fading to fifth ahead of Jordi Torres (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils) who fought hard to recover from another average start to finish sixth.
Sylvain Guintoli (Pata Honda World Superbike Team) finished one place higher than he managed in race 1, bringing his CBR1000RR SP home in seventh ahead of Xavi Fores (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team), while Alex Lowes had a much better race on his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki finishing ninth. Tenth place went to Leon Camier, who brought his MV Agusta Reparto Corse machine home in another solid top-ten position.
Nico Terol (Althea Racing) crashed out of contention on lap 4 and, after being taken first to the Medical Centre and then to the hospital, he was diagnosed with a right wrist fracture. Randy de Puniet retired once again on his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki.

Jonathan Rea - 1st and 1st: a: “I feel awesome to win two races here. Today has been amazing and like in Thailand I need to sit down and savour this moment. There was a lot of pressure on me coming here, everyone talking about how Assen was my circuit, so I am just happy to deliver. We chose a different rear tyre in race two and it worked out well.
Race two was slightly different because I knew Tom would be fast in the beginning. The race was a bit faster at the start and slower at the end because of that. When Chaz put a pass on me and I saw Tom slowing I knew that it could end up to be a messy fight so I wanted to get straight back into the lead and make it my race. This one is for all my mechanics who have been working tirelessly and all the people at KHI. Hopefully now we can go to Imola and do a similar job - but this one feels very special.”
Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Superbike Team #7) – 2nd, 2nd: “I’m very happy with today’s results, also because it’s the first time I’ve stepped up to the Assen podium in Superbike. I’m pleased because I know we did all we could today, Rea was just a little stronger. In race 1, we were fairly confident with our rear tyre choice, having tested it over the weekend, but surprisingly my problem in race 1 was the front tyre – I had no grip at all in the last couple of laps and so there was no way of sticking with Johnny to the end. In race 2 the bike and tyre were better, we definitely made a step forward but there was no catching Rea. Now I can’t wait to head to Imola, Ducati’s home circuit and a track where we were able to do well last year.”
Michael van der Mark - 3rd and 3rd: "Race one was amazing and I’m glad we were able to be fast because we saw how consistent Jonathan [Rea] was yesterday. My start wasn’t great, but I had a good pace and was able to get back to the front group step by step. To be able to take my first podium here at my home round with a Dutch team and all the sponsors was amazing. In race two, Leon [Haslam] and I had a nice fight – we were strong in different parts of the track – but I knew I had to get by him. I passed him in the Ramshoek on the last lap and then into the chicane he came around the outside. We both braked really late and had to sit up but I’m really happy with the two podiums here. It’s way better than I could have expected this weekend. I must thank the team for giving me a really good CBR, and now I’m really looking forward to Imola. On the cool-down lap it was great to see so many fans on the track waving the Dutch flags. I’m really proud that so many people came.
Tom Sykes: “We had a better performance in qualifying at this round and at the beginning of the races I feel comfortable. I think that has shown in the last couple of rounds. We are definitely starting to make progress and we have had various changes in rear set-up this weekend with very similar outcomes. I definitely feel that I have a clearer understanding of where we are, and my crew chief feels the same. I know I can run with the guys but at the last third or half of the race we cannot stick with the guys in some aspects. We know what we need to do and I am confident in where we can improve. We will move on to the next race in Imola but before then we will pinpoint a few things.”
Sylvain Guintoli - 8th and 7th: It’s been a struggle this weekend but we have actually come away from both races with some positives. My feeling with the CBR is definitely getting better – it’s just taking more time than we thought. In race two I was able to keep the pace better for much longer and I was actually quite close to the leading group. We’ll take that with us to Imola and keep trying to improve that feeling. We’re basically working on little details and the way I’m riding the bike. It’s taking time to change the way I’m doing things and then dialling in and starting to use the bike properly. But I really feel we’re not far away now so this is the really good news!
Thanks to his latest successes Rea is now 50 points ahead in the championship table after scoring his 49th and 50th podium places in WSB today. He has a total of 190 points; Leon Haslam has 140, Chaz Davies 123 and Sykes 88. Imola, on 10th May, is the venue for the next WSB races, a track both Kawasaki riders can count as a favourite from years gone by.
Sofuoglu wins Dutch WSS race after intense final lap fight
A last corner decider went in the favour of Kenan Sofuoglu (Kasawaki Puccetti Racing) as the Turkish rider claimed back to back wins in the World Supersport championship to extend his lead in this year’s series. After the disappointment of Thailand and Aragon, Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) returned to the podium in second after narrowly missing out on the victory as both he and Sofuoglu touched coming through the final chicane. The incident was reviewed by Race Direction who decided no further action was necessary. Cluzel had the consolation of a new lap record as he secured twenty points to keep alive his championship chances.
The final podium place was decided after another dual, this time between Kyle Smith (Pata Honda World Supersport Team) and PJ Jacobsen (Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres).

Valentino Rossi takes a Sensational Victory and Championship Points Lead
after a masterful ride at the Gran Premio Red Bull de la República Argentina
Sunday, April 19th, 2015 - The sun had come out and track temperatures had risen to 37C degrees for the start of the MotoGP™ race at the Termas de Rio Hondo. The reigning MotoGP™ World Champion Marquez, along with CWM LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow, decided to switch to the hard rear tyre on the grid, unlike Rossi and Lorenzo who both decided to use the extra hard compound rear.
This would prove crucial later on in the race, but it was Aleix Espargaro who led the pack into turn one on the Team Suzuki Ecstar, but it didn’t take long for Marc Marquez to make his move for the lead. The Spaniard was able to make a break at the front almost immediately to lead by 0.8s at the end of the first lap.
Rossi took the win over Dovizioso and the Championship points lead
Marquez took advantage of his hard tyres extra grip early on in the race to extend his lead to over 4 seconds, all the while though Movistar Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi was making his move through the field. “The Doctor” moved into 2nd place at the expense of Dovizioso on the Ducati Team GP15 with 15 laps to go. Rossi then set about hunting down Marquez, as the Spaniard’s tyre performance started to fall away, and it suddenly became apparent he would be able to catch the Honda.
It was like watching a ticking time bomb as Rossi made huge in-roads into Marquez’s lead, finally catching him with just 2 laps to go. Marquez was not going to let the Italian pass him without a fight though, and in the ensuing battle the riders touched a couple of times, before Marquez clipped the back of Rossi’s bike and crashed out of the race. Although Marquez was not best pleased, Race Direction ruled it as a “racing incident” and took no further action.An Epic fight between Marquez and Rossi in the closing laps.
This left Rossi on his own to take the victory by over five-seconds, with Andrea Dovizioso taking advantage of Marquez’s crash to claim 2nd. CWM LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow left it until the very last corner to pass Andrea Iannone to claim the final podium place, managing to hold off the Ducati Team GP15 on the run to the line to take 3rd and finish as the leading satellite rider.
So close, Andrea Dovizioso took another 2nd this season for Ducati
Rossi’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo had no answer to the pace of the guys at the front, and finished in rather a lonely fifth place, over 9 seconds ahead of the Satellite Monster Yamaha Tech 3 bike of Bradley Smith in 6th. Aleix Espargaro ended the race in 7th, ahead of his brother Pol, with Scott Redding and Maverick Viñales completing the top ten.
Pramac Racing’s Danilo Petrucci finished in 11th, but was later given one penalty point by Race Direction for irresponsible riding that led Hiroshi Aoyama to crash.
CWM LCR Honda’s Jack Miller took the Open class victory as he finished in 12th, just 0.075s ahead of Hector Barbera on the Avintia Ducati and Athina Forward Racing’s Loris Baz, with his teammate Stefan Bradl in 15th.
Rossi now has a six-point lead over Dovizioso in the Championship standings, and is 30 points ahead of Marquez.
Valentino Rossi, Tean Yamaha 1st / 41'35.644 / 25 laps - "It's a great victory, we made the right decision and started with the extra hard tyre. When I saw Marc start with the red one I knew that he would try to push at the beginning. I made a great start but on the first corner Iannone pushed me on the outside. Step by step I came back, and when I arrived in second Marc had a little more than four seconds lead. I knew the race was long, so I knew he could have some difficulty. Catching him lap by lap, I could see him far away but coming closer and closer, it was a great taste! I overtook him in braking, but he is a rider who is all or nothing, he touched me in the corner, then he touched me again as I was accelerating, I think he made a mistake and he crashed. It's a shame because it could have been a great fight on the last lap. In three races we have demonstrated we can be competitive everywhere and fight for the championship.”
Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team #04), 2nd -“I am really pleased, even more so than in the first two rounds, because this was a very difficult track for us. In practice and qualifying we went quite well but we were not that fast, and managing such a demanding race with the drop in rear tyre performance was very important and rather complicated. Everyone really had to struggle, but once again we managed to get onto the podium. This result means that we are looking really strong, because we are there up at the front even when the conditions are not so much in our favour. I want to thank the team, who are working very well, as well as Ducati who have made a special bike, and I feel very confident about the future because we can only get better.”
Andrea Iannone (Ducati Team #29), 4th -“In the race we could have certainly have battled for the podium, because we were set up well to be quick and in the end we demonstrated it. Around half-way through the race I was in a bit of difficulty and I changed the engine mapping to try and reduce the sliding of the bike and ride a bit better, but it was too late. I probably didn’t guess the strategy right, and in the end I paid for it. It was a pity because in the final stages I was quicker than Cal, but I arrived a bit long at the final corner and he passed me. In any case it was a great scrap, and for sure I will try and get even in the next race.”

Beaubier Doubles in Road Atlanta Superbike as Hayes Struggles Josh day andJake Gagne split Superstock 1000
BRASELTON, GA, APR. 19th - Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha's Cameron Beaubier had a perfect day in imperfect conditions at Road Atlanta, the Californian having it all his way in the Honda Superbike Challenge of Road Atlanta on a day when his main rivals in the championship faltered.
Beaubier topped his teammate Josh Hayes by 4.699 seconds in the first of two wet races on a day of horrible weather in Georgia. Then he and the rest of the racers had to endure a lengthy wait as the MotoAmerica and Road Atlanta crews were forced to wait out a storm before getting the flooded track race-ready again for what turned out to be a race time of close to 5 p.m.
In race two it was Beaubier again taking victory as he watched both of the men considered to be his fiercest competition for this year's title - Hayes and Yoshimura Suzuki's Roger Hayden (with his second race fall of the day) - crash out of the race. With those two out, it left Beaubier to move past fast starter Jake Lewis, on the second Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000, to take victory by 3.789 seconds. Lewis ended up second, pairing that with his first-race third, and giving the 19-year-old Kentuckian the first two podiums of his Superbike career in just his third and fourth Superbike races.
With Lewis finishing third behind the two factory Yamahas in race one, fourth went to Yamaha Blumaz's Bernat Martinez with the Spaniard bettering his fourth in race one by one spot to earn the first AMA Superbike podium of his career in race two.
But this day was all about Beaubier who earned the fifth and sixth Superbike race wins of his young career.
"I struggled a lot in the wet in the few outings we had last year," Beaubier said after sweeping the doubleheader for the first time in what is his sophomore season of Superbike racing. "To get two wins in the wet, sketchy conditions today was good for my confidence. In the first race Josh [Hayes] and Roger [Hayden] were riding really good and it was a bummer to see Rog go down. I put my head down and started clicking off laps. I just kept going, kept going. I had a good feel in the wet. I didn't want to throw it down, but I just kept clicking off laps.
"I was pretty timid in race two in turn one. I didn't know if there was any standing water or not and then Jake [Lewis] got me. Jake was riding awesome and I saw Rog out front just pounding out laps. I was like, 'Oh, man, he's gone.' I was struggling a little bit with grip. I saw Rog crash, I saw Josh [Hayes] crash. It was a bummer. I want to race those guys to the finish. I just kept trucking along."
Beaubier leaves Georgia with a 30-point lead over Hayes in the title chase after the first two rounds (four races), 95-65. Lewis is third with 60 points and Martinez is fourth with 51.

Elena Myers, by virtue of her two sixth-place finishes today, is fifth in the title chase with 38 points. Oddly enough, the MotoAmerica media department race no recognition to Elena Myers as being the first woman enter in the Pro Superbike clas, if ever. Possibly in part becuase Myers finished last place in the Superbike class, 6th position in both races, which also highlighted how few entires there were in the Superbike Class.
The series resumes in four weeks at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, Virginia, May 15-17.
The Superstock 1000 class was run with the Superbikes as is the norm and those races wins were split between Yamalube/Westby Racing's Joshua Day and RoadRace Factory's Jake Gagne, both armed with Yamaha YZF-R1. Day won race one in his return to U.S. road racing and Gagne, who crashed in race one, bounced back for the win in the second race. Day's afternoon was a mirror image of Gagne's as he crashed out of race two after winning race one.
Tyler O'Hara ended up second in both races on the Tyler O'Hara Racing Yamaha R1 with Taylor Knapp riding the FourFour Motorsports R1 to third in both races.

INTO THE 2015 AMA PRO GRAND NATIONAL SERIES
Bayliss Heads to America to Compete on a Ducati in All One-Mile AMA Flat Track Events
Cupertino, CA, April 21, 2015 – Three-time Ducati team World Superbike Champion (WSBK) Troy Bayliss today confirmed his plans to compete in the 2015 AMA Pro Grand National Series, beginning with the legendary Springfield Mile in Illinois on May 24. Racing a Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Ducati alongside teammate Johnny Lewis, Bayliss will participate in all five mile-long race events. In addition to factory support, long-time Ducati collector Jim Dillard is also providing financial backing for the Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Ducati team.
Bayliss is one of the most decorated competitors in road racing history, with 52 WSBK victories, a fairytale MotoGP win in 2006 and the British Superbike Championship title in 1999 – all on a Ducati. He is no stranger to flat track racing: in 2013, he launched the invitation-only Troy Bayliss Classic in his home country of Australia, where he has since competed against many AMA Pro Flat Track greats.
Both Bayliss and Lewis will be piloting Ducati 1100cc air-cooled, 2-valve engines with Penske-tuned suspension in a custom chassis.

Everything I have learned on the dirt helped me through my career in road racing and to find myself back where it all started makes me feel young again,” said Bayliss. “To race the Grand Nationals will be a challenge, but to compete with the Lloyd Brothers on the Ducati had to be done. Flat track is on the up here in Australia. We have run the Troy Bayliss Classic for the past three years and mixing it up with Henry Wiles, Jared Mees and Sammy Halbert has been great. Eric Buel Racing Closes, Files for Bankruptcy April 15th 2015 - Erik Buell Racing (EBR), an East Troy motorcycle manufacturer that was the successor to BUELL, the company once owned by Harley-Davidson Inc., has ceased operations. The sudden move, announced Wednesday, leaves 126 employees out of work. The company has more than $20 million in outstanding liabilities, according to its attorney, and is seeking court protection from creditors. Erik Buell Racing is the sequel to Buell Motorcycle Co., which was owned by Harley-Davidson for more than a decade before Harley dropped the brand in 2009.
Initially, the new company produced hand-built $40,000 sport bikes for road-racing enthusiasts. More recently, it geared up to build a less expensive mass-production motorcycle with a racing pedigree. Company founder Erik Buell invested his own money into the venture, while Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the largest motorcycle manufacturer in India, had a 49% ownership stake.
The company had done well on the AMA national racing circuit, where it went head to head with much larger companies such as Yamaha and Kawasaki. But it struggled to gain sales in a marketplace dominated by Japanese and European sport bike manufacturers. Erik Buell Racing had pursued the top 100 U.S. motorcycle dealers and last year opened a European office to support a race team and build brand identity.
"The turn we recently took, after we thought we were moving forward, was unexpected," Erik Buell said in a statement. "We thought we had secured funding, but in the end, we were not able to get the funding in place. Therefore we need to do the best we can under the circumstances for all parties in interest."
The company is seeking protection under a state statute that is similar to federal bankruptcy law. Bids will be solicited for the company as part of the Chapter 128 process, with the winning bid to be determined by a state court. At the company's request, attorney Michael S. Polsky will be the court-appointed receiver.
Any proposed sale is subject to court approval and higher or better bids, according to Polsky. The company anticipates that its assets will be sold, according to a state Department of Workforce Development notice that announced the immediate termination of the employees.
"To say this setback is a disappointment does not begin to express what I feel right now. I am personally grateful for the support of our outstanding workers, customers and vendors. While this is a sad ending, I personally hope for a new and better beginning," Buell said.
Creating a product from scratch is something the longtime entrepreneur knows a lot about, having founded Buell Motorcycle Co. in a Mukwonago barn 31 years ago and then starting over in 2009 as a manufacturer of racing motorcycles aimed at the highest level of the sport. Buell, an engineer by profession, is known for carrying images of futuristic motorcycles on his cellphone. His company recently patented a 400-horsepower gas-electric motorcycle engine.
Employees and Erik Buell Racing dealerships learned of the shutdown Wednesday. There is a possibility that Hero Motorcycles of India, who payed $24 Million Dollars for 49% share of EBR three years ago, might come in and buy the remaining 51% and take over sole ownership and restart the company. Possibly with Eric Buell remining in place as Presodent? Stay tuned....

This is a difficult time, and your comments mean a great deal to me personally and also to the EBR team that has done such amazing work over the past few, intense years.
No doubt, it was an incredible ride, feeling like the longest qualifying lap ever. And, then, just when we knew we were about to set an all-time record, we tossed it in the last corner…
Keeping with racing analogies, now we need to get back on the track and look ahead remembering all the things we were doing right around so many turns.
Unfortunately, in the end, we tried to do too much with too little funding, but it doesn't diminish the accomplishments. We introduced the world class American super bikes of 1190RS, 1190RX and 1190SX, while at the same time doing revolutionary work for Hero on the HX250R, Leap, SimplEcity, iON, RnT and many others, plus concepts never publicly seen. It was great EBR innovation and design, and introduced new technology to Hero and its suppliers to provide a real kick start for them. But in the end all of this simply overwhelmed us, and for that we are sorry and saddened.
I want you to know that looking ahead my focus is 100% on helping the receiver best maximize the value from EBR to benefit all, and I will make every possible effort to get the new organization to where it can support the dealers and customers first, and then help find investment to get back to full throttle.

Assen (The Netherlands), Sunday 19 April 2015 – Chaz Davies and the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati Superbike Team scored a further 40 points in today’s Superbike races at the TT Circuit of Assen, with Davies twice powering his Panigale R across the line in second position. Javier Forés finished the day's races seventh and eighth.
Race 1 – The first of the day’s Superbike races took place in dry but cold conditions (air temperature 9°C, track 15°C). Davies, from fourth on the grid, was immediately up into third behind the two factory Kawasakis. Having got past Sykes, Chaz held second place for the entire second half of the race. The Welshman, maintaining an extremely fast pace all the way to the line, did all he could to reach Rea, a few tenths ahead of him, but, owing to front tyre wear which had reached a critical level by the final stages, he was forced to settle for final second position. Javier, seventh on the grid, immediately made up one position off the line. Retaining sixth place for almost the entire duration of the race, the Spaniard continued to set some fast lap times which allowed him to stick close to the leading group until just a few laps from the end, when he unfortunately lost ground due to front tyre wear. Forés therefore closed race one in seventh position.
Race 2 – Overcast skies but dry conditions for race 2. A good start for Davies initially positioned him fourth. The race, which was extremely hard fought by the frontrunners, saw Chaz battle it out against Rea, Sykes, Haslam and Vd Mark for the podium places. On lap 18 Davies set the ‘best lap’ of the race, in 1’35.992, before continuing to push until the line and close in second position, just four tenths of a second behind Rea. A difficult race 2 for Forés who was unable to find the right feeling with the medium front tyre selected. Despite showing strong pace in the early stages, the Spaniard started to lose terrain from mid-race onwards, concluding in final eighth position.
After the first four rounds of the 2015 Superbike World Championship, Chaz Davies is in third position in the championship standings with 123 points accumulated so far. Having competed at both Aragón and Assen, Forés now has 38 points and lies twelfth overall. The Spaniard will now turn his attention to the German IDM Championship, in which he will compete once again with team 3C Racing on board the Panigale R. The IDM championship will begin on 3 May at the Lausitzring.
As long as there are no unexpected complications, Davide Giugliano should return to the ranks of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team for round 5 of the Superbike World Championship, taking place at Imola on 10 May.

Yamaha in Argentina Termas de Rio Hondo (Argentina), 19th April 2015 Movistar Yamaha MotoGP‘s Valentino Rossi ended his Argentine adventure in style today with a sensational victory in the Gran Premio de la República Argentina. Teammate Jorge Lorenzo started strongly as a key protagonist before dropping to finish in fifth.
Starting from a less than perfect eighth position on the grid, Rossi was immediately in the middle of the pack fighting for first corner position. Taking a lap to find his rhythm he then started his move up the field, taking first Danilo Petrucci and then Aleix Espargarò to move into sixth. With 20 laps to go his teammate Lorenzo was next as the Doctor continued his charge towards the front.
The next pack to be dispatched were Andrea Iannone, then Cal Crutchlow and finally Andrea Dovizioso to put the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider in second position. Rossi then had the seemingly impossible task of closing a gap of over four seconds to leading rider Marc Marquez.
The nine-time world champion then delivered a performance for the record books, putting the hammer down and cutting the lead lap by lap to reel Marquez in with just two laps remaining. A fast exchange of positions followed through turns two, three and four, with Rossi exiting turn five in the lead. In his rush to counter attack, Marquez then clipped Rossi‘s back wheel on the exit, crashing out of contention.
Teammate Lorenzo was quick to attack from the grid start, taking third through the first corner then swiftly dealing with Aleix Espargarò for second and beginning the hunt for Marquez. The charge was to be short lived as the Mallorcan struggled to make the harder rear tyre work for him, gradually dropping to take fifth at the line.
Rossi‘s victory brings with it some incredible numbers, bringing Rossi‘s podium tally to 199, 110 of which are victories and 51 of those with Yamaha.
The result puts him on 66 points at the top of the rider standings, six clear of Dovizioso in second. Movistar Yamaha MotoGP also lead the team standings on 103 points and Yamaha lead the constructors standings with 66 points.
Lorenzo‘s fifth place finish delivers 11 points, putting him on a total of 37 in fourth, one point ahead of Marquez.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 21, 2015) - Troy Bayliss, the Australian road racing superstar and winner of three World Superbike titles, is coming to the USA to compete in the most iconic and historic form of American motorcycle racing.
Bayliss will run five events on the AMA Pro Flat Track schedule, putting him in the field against the best dirt track racers in the world. He is set to make his debut on a Lloyd Brothers Motorsports Ducati May 24 at the legendary Springfield Mile in Springfield, Ill., and will run the four remaining Mile events on the 2015 schedule.
"Having Troy Bayliss race with AMA Pro Flat Track, at some of our most storied venues, really multiplies the excitement and positive momentum we have as a sport right now," said Michael Gentry, Chief Operating Officer of AMA Pro Racing. Top road racers have long used dirt track as a training regimen, but Bayliss has taken it to a new level since his retirement from full-time competition in 2008. For the last three years, he's successfully promoted the Troy Bayliss Classic flat track exhibition in Australia, an event that has attracted top AMA Pro Flat Track riders such as current Grand National Champion Jared Mees, Sammy Halbert and Henry Wiles.
Following the Springfield Mile, Bayliss is scheduled to race the Sacramento Mile on May 30. July 4 and 11, he'll run the Du Quoin Mile and Indy Mile, respectively, before finishing with the second running of the Springfield Mile Sept. 6.

Bayliss, 46, recorded 94 podium finishes in 152 World Superbike starts, including 52 victories. He recorded his only MotoGP victory as a wildcard entrant in 2006, filling in for the injured Factory Ducati rider, Sete Gibernau, in Valencia, Spain. His decorated resume also includes a British Superbike Championship, which he won in 1999.
